Whether you’re setting up a short-term rental or upgrading your home, certain amenities are essential to enhance comfort and convenience. Having the right features readily available can significantly impact the overall experience, especially during a vacation. With extensive experience in the industry, we’ve compiled this master list of must-have amenities that guests consistently love—and that keep them coming back!

Kitchen

Stocking up a home can be daunting, don’t let the little things slip through the cracks! Here are some of our favorite things to add to our short term rentals that make it feel more like home.

  • Coffee maker

  • Ample dinnerware and utensils

  • Wine glasses (have backups on hand)

  • Tea, high quality coffee, and cooking essentials

  • Ice maker for a touch of luxury

Bathroom

Having a well thought out bathroom can make any space feel luxurious! We enhance our spaces in an easy, but very effective way with these simple additions!

  • Shampoo, conditioner, and liquid body wash

  • Fluffy high quality towels 

  • Hair dryer in each bathroom

  • Extra toiletries tucked away such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, or razors

  • Ample toilet paper

  • Unique items - if your space has a tub, consider some bath bombs for guest’s use!

Bedroom

Feeling safe, comfortable and fresh is necessary throughout the entire home, but especially so for the bedroom! Take an extra moment to consider what’s missing, what can go, and how we can make this be a truly fantastic space.

  • Black out curtains

  • Fresh white linens

  • Storage space including drawers and hangers

  • Extra blankets

  • Easy access to outlets beside beds (ideally USB outlets)

General

Some items could not be for just one space in your home, and be in multiple areas throughout the property. Here’s a list of items that didn’t quite fit in an individual room, but are still just as important as the rest!

  • Air conditioning

  • Easy to access parking (consider renting a space in a nearby lot)

  • High speed internet (do a Wi-fi test on Airbnb)

  • Television with streaming devices or local cable

  • Local maps, guidebooks, recommendations - go with a digital house manual

  • Books and board games

  • Make it kid friendly

    • Pack n play’s (upon request) or highchairs can elevate a guest’s experience!

  • Emergency kit

    • This should include things like a first aid kit, fire extinguisher, flashlights and matches

  • Basic cleaning supplies

  • Iron

  • Electronic lock with a backup lock box

    • A life saver for an easy, efficient, 24/7 check-in experience
